The Welshpool Country Music Festival is a spectacular event hosted by the Heulwen Trust. The festival will be held on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of July in a fantastic location inside Powis Castle grounds, and this year’s line-up of acts are set to be the most entertaining yet!

On Friday 13th the Castle Belles will be taking the stage once more. If you have been to the Welshpool Country & Music Festival before then you are sure to remember these talented ladies. Their country and western harmonies are sure to enchant you and make them a firm favourite. Friday will also showcase the guitar and vocal duo known as the West Country Duo, as well as the country solo artist, Pedro.

Saturday 14th will showcase Geoff Hilton, aka Gambler; a talented country solo artist who has years of performing experience live for audiences across the United Kingdom. We also welcome back the incredibly entertaining Donna Wylde, who has won many awards for her performances of country music. Following Donna will be the Nashville Numbers; a traditional four-piece country music band led by Karl Haylett, who has been playing country music all of his life.

On Sunday 15th, Fools Gold Trio will perform once again, with Debbie and Paul being joined by Dave Rowland on the pedal steel. The Jeff Gallant Band will take to the stage for the first time at our Country and Music Festival. The Hayley’s will follow, bringing their terrific sense of humour and amazing finger-picking guitar playing.

There are many more acts taking to the stage over the course of the weekend, so be sure to check the full line-up over on the Welshpool Country and Music Festival website.

The show will begin with an emphatic traditional Western charge down the bank with 50 Westerners in traditional costume with guns blazing along with some excellent music! The Powis Castle ground play the perfect backdrop for the great charge so make sure you don’t miss that.

Tickets are available online and are also available upon entrance at the gate – priced at £30 for a weekend ticket granting you access to everything! A perfect way to spend a splendid summer’s weekend with music, scenery, foods and drinks and the chance to make friends with many like-minded people!

No matter it rain or shine, there will be a huge 7,500 square foot marquee that will host a party with a fabulous western bar and range of food stalls to keep your energy up. Whether you come for the day or the weekend, there is plenty to see and do, with free boat trips along the local canal, tea and cake tents and many sideshows and games where you could win a prize! Grab a goody from the bric and brac stall, play the tombola and much more.
