There is plenty to see and do in the local area surrounding Brightwater Lakes Caravan Park Mid Wales. Whether you are out for a spot of lunch, are looking to explore the natural beauty, are interested in the rich history of Powis Castle and Erddig hall, or simply in need of a shopping spree in the nearby town of Shrewsbury, the “Gateway to Wales” can keep you busy for days on end.
However, if you are in need of some compelling entertainment in the form of music, then look no further than the Welshpool Country Music Festival 2017.
Taking place on the Powis Castle Showground, a very short drive from Brightwater Lakes, the festival has become increasingly popular over its many years, with people returning year after year without fail.
The festival itself is a fundraising event, with proceeds going to the Heulwen Trust. Proceeds have consistently reached high numbers, with £12,000 being raised in 2013.
The Welshpool Westerners will be opening the event by charging down the bank in traditional costumes carrying replica guns. Families can take part in various exciting activities over the weekend such as line dancing, boat riding, pony riding, face painting and a quick-draw competition.
Food and drink stalls will be available at incredibly reasonable prices. But don’t panic, a bar can be found inside the 7,500 square foot marquee with standard pub prices and a happy hour.
The event will be running from the 14th to the 16th of July. A weekend ticket with full access to the event will be £35, with individual day tickets costing just £12.50. Evening tickets are available for Friday and Saturday at £5 each. Families who have children under 16 years old are let in for free but must be accompanied by an adult.
With a vast range of live acts and fun activities for all the family, you are guaranteed a great time at the Welshpool Country Music Festival 2017.
