Get ready to enjoy the Autumn Food and Craft Fair taking place at Llanfyllin Workhouse on Saturday 21st September and Sunday 22nd 2013. The event will host over 30 traders and exhibitors, along with cookery demonstrations, live music and entertainment, history display, book fair, kids’ activities and an evening barbeque & bar – all set in the phenomenal Llanfyllin Workhouse – just a short drive away from a fantastic caravan park mid Wales.

Known locally as Y Dolydd, the workhouse is home to an exciting new project which is finding a new and viable community for one of the most remarkable historic buildings. The workhouse – built in 1839 is just a short distance away from Welshpool and was made to home the poor, making its past extremely important and intriguing at the same time. Blending classic grandeur with the durability of local stone and slate, the building is a fine and interesting building that is worth visiting in its own right, let alone with a fantastic event taking place at the same time!

The Autumn Food and Craft Fair will welcome everybody, near or far to go along and enjoy the special event, with tickets for adults costing £5 and children granted free entrance. The location of the workhouse is most near to the town of Welshpool, which has been dubbed one of the best holiday destinations within Wales, thanks to its beautiful scenery, range of things to do and its number of fantastic historical buildings that sit in and around the town. For those wanting to get a short break away, why not visit Brightwater Lakes Caravan Park Mid Wales this year to enjoy one of the finest areas of Wales!

Aside from checking out this even in Welshpool, there a huge number of other things to see and do, whether it is seeing exceptional historic buildings, walking in the hills, water sports, climbing or simply feeding the ducks and shopping, there’s something to do for all types of people and groups.
